Tennis began in earnest this weekend, with the inaugural two-set match closing at 6-2 and 3-6, and although performance was less than ideal–think a Wimbledon designed for clumsy, legless burros with access to racquets–the will to continue playing pulses fiercely. I woke at 7:30 yesterday, ante meridiem, to engage in this “physical activity” mentioned in certain circles, and I’m all the better for it. There’s newfound stamina. Energy. Insomnia. That one will need to be fixed. The next outing is scheduled for 7 sharp tomorrow, so we’ll need to adjourn now.

Tomorrow: the perils of Christian media!
